New ways to expedite delivery
The USPS has announced two new shipping initiatives. The first is a new, larger Priority Mail® Flat-Rate Box, with a special discount for overseas military addresses. The second involves a new Sunday and holiday delivery premium for Express Mail®. Both take effect on March 3, 2008. More.

Did you know that your postage meter does not need to be connected to a phone line at all times? It is only important for you to connect the phone line when downloading postage or when performing a software update. The meter can remain unplugged from your phone line at all other times.
Intelligent Mail® barcodes
Companies that use mailing barcodes to earn postage discounts will want to pay attention to the latest USPS proposal — which would require mailers to use the new Intelligent Mail® barcode beginning in January 2009.

Masters of Mailstream:
Mario Bermudez increased his profits the old fashioned way—by shopping around. As the owner of Aqua Tech Industries, a Florida-based importer of plumbing, irrigation and lawn care products, he works hard to get the best deals, and that includes mailstream supplies.
He relies on Pitney Bowes branded compatible ink and toner cartridges for all of his office equipment. "The big reason is pricing,"Bermudez admits. "I did the research, including all of the big office supply chains. Pitney Bowes has the best pricing—and they have great service, too."

As his business has grown by 50% this year, Bermudez also appreciates the professionalism of his Pitney Bowes Supply Line Account Manager. "I have a representative assigned to my business," he adds, "and she knows my equipment and exactly what my business needs. Overall, Pitney Bowes ink and toner is a brand you can trust. It lasts as long as any other brand, and it costs a lot less."
